About

Sometimes when we look into the depths of our souls we find that which we would not wish to find. Ah, what a cliché, but well, it’s true.

It would be very pretentious of me to say that I have lived a tormented life. At least while children die in wars, plagues and miseries. My life has not been a tormented life up to the present moment. What is tormented in me is not the life, but my mind and soul.

Bound for so long by expectations and repressions, the soul aches when it looks at itself and sees what it wants and doesn’t want, and sometimes doesn’t even know anymore how to say what it wants or doesn’t want.

Writing ends up being my most beloved medicine. When I write I manage to relieve this tension and confusion. In a way I arrive at that elysium where there is no more torment for men.

I have no other intention for this blog than that. Here I want to talk about what I live and think, about what I read and listen to. Maybe one day I’ll write about my dysphoria, on another about Joy Division, another still about Lacan, who knows even about Henri de Lubac. And it is in transiting between these themes that I hope to find some relief.
